If that makes any sense.I dig this website for getting updated on current hip hop related stories and checking out the new tracks when they leak. I’ve always enjoyed Elliot Wilson’s views and opinions when it came to the hip hop game. That said, the people that comment here annoy the living shit out of me. The only reason I mention that (or care) is because I enjoy discussing and debating hip hop w/ others. The Eminem fanboy shit that goes on here is embarrassing. I am assuming the majority of the people i’m referring to may be somewhat younger and discovering and listening to Eminem’s music was their entry point into rap music. Nothing wrong w/ that if that’s the case, everyone started somewhere, but the constant shit talking and arguing with anyone that disagrees in their belief that Eminem is the be all end all of the hip hop shit (the constant G.O.A.T. talk, etc.), makes me want to ride to the nearest shopping mall and rip the head off of the first “bro” or “dawg” I find riding around in their ‘Too Fast & Too Furious’ Honda Accord bumping an Em track…and that just wouldn’t be fair to the little dork, would it? So, I ask this…what quality hip hop websites/blogs might one suggest checking out that has the least amount of these idol worshiping geeks (no matter who the rapper is)? Again.this is a real question. One song is a genuine tribute to a lost member of the group, the next is a Bizarre solo track about spiking womens drinks.
Thanks for your time and any recommendations you may have for me. There are a couple decent tracks on here, but its mostly just mediocre or bad.
